On Thursday, June 18th, the Great Path Academy community, alongside proud families and friends, gathered in a packed and enthusiastic auditorium to celebrate the graduation of over 60 incredible students! This milestone marks the culmination of four years of tireless hard work and dedication.

This resilient group truly lived out the vision of GPA, showcasing what it means to be a middle college high school. Together, they conquered over 100 college courses, earning an astounding 315+ college credit hours at CT State Manchester!

Among the many distinguished achievements of this graduating class:

🏅 18 Students earned the prestigious Seal of Biliteracy.

🌟 7 Students were named Hartford Promise Scholars.

📚 13 Students graduated as proud members of the National Honor Society.

Great Path Academy is proud to announce our Class of 2026 Valedictorian and Salutatorian! Khadijah Sani is this year's Valedictorian - she will be attending UCONN in the fall to study economics. Sasha Nightingale is our Salutatorian and she will be heading to Westfield State University to study nursing. Both of these students have been exceptional GPA student ambassadors for many years and dedicated to their academics and school community! Congratulations Khadijah and Sasha! We look forward to celebrating your accomplishments at graduation on Thursday, June 18th.

Our teachers hold office hours each week - please see the attached sheet that shows all of our staff's office hours and days and times. - Teacher Office Hours. We have two more Thursday Academy sessions until 4:20pm on June 4th and June 11th and we will hold final exam study sessions on Monday and Tuesday, June 15th and 16th from 11:05pm-1:00pm for students that need assistance.

Marking Period 4 will be end on our last day of school, June 23rd, 2026.

Great Path Academy is providing small group tutoring for juniors and seniors to improve their SAT and PSAT proficiency in reading and math in preparation of taking the PSAT and SAT in the fall of 2027.

We will hold a SAT/PSAT Bootcamp the week of August 3rd to August 7th from 8am-12pm at GPA. Bus transportation will be provided with centralized locations and breakfast and lunch will be provided at the school.

Congratulations to Montrell Williams who is one of the portfolio contest winners this year at the Hartford Youth Art Renaissance. His work has been displayed at the Wadsworth in Hartford. He received a scholarship to attend the UHART Art Program this summer. Congratulations Montrell!

Class of 2029 - it's time to celebrate your on track success! Our 9th graders who are on track for promotion to 10th grade will be celebrated on Friday, June 5th with an afternoon at the Big Chill - group and team activities and an opportunity to celebrate your hard work all year! Students had the opportunity to attend dance and theater workshops on Wednesday, May 6th at the Goodspeed Operahouse and then stayed to see their production of "Jesus Christ Superstar." Their star power shined through. post workshops with the Goodspeed on Friday, May 8th! Thank you to Mrs. Gray for organizing this partnership to expose our students to drama.

Congratulations to Flourish Uwaya as the first Chapter President of the newly formed GPA DECA Chapter and Niko Henderson as the first Vice President of Leadership and Career Development!  Congratulations!

The HPS STEM Fair was on Friday, May 8th, 2026. Congratulations to Kieanna Headley, Logan Williams, Yari Soto-Figueroa, and Neysha Santiago for their winning projects! Our 9th grader Julianna Robinson's design was chosen for the STEM Fair T-Shirts this year! Thank you to Ms. Hood and her culinary crew for supplying food and beverages!

Congratulations to the following students who participated in today's String Festival! Kyra Virgo, Arizabel Vega, Oscar Than, Daniela Frimpong and Julianna Robinson at MLK King School in Hartford on Friday, May 8th. Every section of the orchestra has a student leader that is from GPA, and Kyra is the Concert Master for the whole group! Thank you to Mrs. Gray for your support as their music teacher.

Thank you to ReadyCT for sponsoring "Introduction to the Nursing Profession" on Tuesday, May 5th, 2026 which provided students with an opportunity to learn about careers in nursing and have hands on interactive sessions about all that the nursing profession entails!
