OBJECTIVES

BrainDance is an annual event designed to help stop the stigma of mental illness and to encourage the promotion of careers within the field of mental health care.

ENTRIES

Must relate to a theme that pertains to mental illness. Participants are encouraged to include a description of their project with their entry.

Juried by expert clinicians and researchers within the field of mental health.

Judging based on creativity, accuracy, originality, and portrayal of stigma

Go to www.nrc-iol.org and click on the BrainDance link for additional information, procedures, and application forms. This event will be a unique educational opportunity for participants and their families.

It will include presentations by experts on mental illness, an awards ceremony, and campus tours of the Myths, Minds & Medicine Museum and Olin Neuro-Imaging Research Center. Awards up to $1000 will be given to the best projects.
