R. J. Kinsella Magnet School of Performing Arts (PreK-8)

The anticipation was electric at Kinsella Magnet School as students from grades 6 through 8 crowded around the bulletin board, their eyes scanning a single sheet of paper. It was the moment they had all been waiting for—the official cast list for their upcoming production of Annie, directed by Kinsella alum and current drama teacher, Donovan Shaw. A collective hush fell over the group, punctuated by nervous whispers, before erupting into a flurry of excited shouts and joyful gasps. Friends hugged each other, tears of happiness streamed down some faces, and others jumped for joy upon seeing their names next to their dream roles. The vibrant energy was contagious, filling the hallways with the promise of a spectacular show to be performed on December 17th and 18th, a true testament to the hard work and passion of these young performers.
