Students had the opportunity to attend dance and theater workshops on Wednesday, May 6th at the Goodspeed Operahouse and then stayed to see their production of "Jesus Christ Superstar." Their star power shined through. post workshops with the Goodspeed on Friday, May 8th! Thank you to Mrs. Gray for organizing this partnership to expose our students to drama.

The HPS STEM Fair was on Friday, May 8th, 2026. Congratulations to Kieanna Headley, Logan Williams, Yari Soto-Figueroa, and Neysha Santiago for their winning projects! Our 9th grader Julianna Robinson's design was chosen for the STEM Fair T-Shirts this year! Thank you to Ms. Hood and her culinary crew for supplying food and beverages!

Congratulations to the following students who participated in today's String Festival! Kyra Virgo, Arizabel Vega, Oscar Than, Daniela Frimpong and Julianna Robinson at MLK King School in Hartford on Friday, May 8th. Every section of the orchestra has a student leader that is from GPA, and Kyra is the Concert Master for the whole group! Thank you to Mrs. Gray for your support as their music teacher.




Thank you to ReadyCT for sponsoring "Introduction to the Nursing Profession" on Tuesday, May 5th, 2026 which provided students with an opportunity to learn about careers in nursing and have hands on interactive sessions about all that the nursing profession entails!







The Class of 2026 enjoyed a fun filled day in NYC on Monday, May 4th for their senior trip. They began by visiting the Empire State Building and then headed to Times Square for lunch and sight seeing! Just a few weeks away now from graduation!

It was inspiring to watch our students and parents connect through creativity on Thursday evening. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this unique blending of art and academics! Great appreciation to our Art Teacher, Ms. Lazaroff for instructing families on how to create their artwork and to our FCSSP Ms. Mickle for hosting everyone at GPA! GPA Glow Party on Friday, May 15th from 7pm-9pm held in the GPA Commons, sponsored by the 10th grade class. The cost is $10 which includes spirit week activities or $20 for VIP. Tickets will be sold during lunch waves. Wear White or Neon to the Glow Party!

Attention GPA: We are planning a trip to Boston on April 27th to visit Boston University and Boston College: Two Campuses in One Day! This is open to 10th and 11th grade students. This will be a full day of admissions tours and campus walks. Students need to see Dr. Kelleher or Mr. Strums for a permission slip. Permission slips are due by Friday, April 10th, 2026.

Great Path Academy students attended the Financial Reality Fair today at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field to learn about more about money. The class got a major reality check at today’s Financial Reality Fair. Between balancing a budget and dealing with "Life happens" moments, everyone quickly realized that adulting is a lot more expensive than it looks. It was a fun but eye-opening day of learning how to manage money without going broke before the simulation ended.










Ms. Thurrott's Forensics Honors students on Wednesday, March 25th conducting a fiber flame test lab, which is a preliminary analytical method used to identify the chemical composition of an unknown fiber found at a crime scene. While it’s considered a "destructive" test—meaning the sample is consumed—it provides immediate clues about whether a fiber is natural, synthetic, or a blend.

Great Path Academy students had the opportunity to tour CCSU on Friday, March 6th. The visit included an information session about Central and a visit to the their eSports room. We appreciate ReadyCT for assisting in the organization of this visit. The students had a great experience checking out collegiate level eSports and seeing all the options that the eSports route provides post-high school!
