Today, we celebrate the life and legacy of civil rights activist and faith leader, Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior. At Hartford Public Schools, we recognize Dr. King’s efforts as we work to create an environment where all students can thrive, regardless of race, gender, or socioeconomic factors.

We are so grateful for the work and support of NAF, RTX, ReadyCT and all of the partners who contributed to the newly-equipped engineering lab for the NAF Academy of Engineering and Green Technology, one of the Career Pathways at Hartford Public High School. This lab will help our students develop the hands-on skills necessary to become future engineers and innovators.

It's been more than two decades since the horrific attacks on our nation on September 11. While we still remember the pain, fear, and heartache from that day, today we also reflect on the stories of hope, resilience, and unity from the days that followed. We will never forget the beautiful lives lost and the men and women who risked it all to save countless others.

The City of Hartford Treasurer's Office is hosting a Bilingual Financial Literacy Symposium on 9/30. Workshops will be held on building credit, understanding the free application for federal student aid, budgeting, mortgage prep/home ownership. Learn more and register by 9/22/23.
